IFPA points and Manitoba PCS (Provincial Championship Series)

Hello and good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. I chatted with the Canadian representative from the IFPA and he clarified some questions I had for us in Manitoba about collecting IFPA points. I asked the question if one or more of us were to travel to Minnesota or Saskatchewan or Alberta or wherever and participate in a IFPA tournament would those points go towards your Manitoba PCS (Provincial Championship Series) top 16 WPPR total. That answer was no and that makes sense. So only IFPA points collected in Manitoba will go towards the top 16 PCS the Saturday following Super Bowl next year in 2018. However any IFPA points collected out of province will indeed improve your overall ranking and put you in the running for that province or state’s PCS. So hopefully that clears up any questions anyone might have regarding our 1st Manitoba PCS coming up in February 2018 (different from the Manitoba Pinball League playoffs which will be held in December 2017). If after reading this and it still doesn’t make sense, please don’t hesitate to email me so I can discuss further with you.

Thanks Dave

Check out The Upcoming Events

We have a tournament coming up at The Good Will Social again. Your will need to buck up a 10 spot to participate and there are a limited number of spaces. Keep in mind that because you need to buy a ticket to get in, you have a chance at winning a cash prize. And sorry you will need to bring some change to play the machines as they will not be on free play.

Also a change of venue for a league night in the future months. We will be making a trek out to Winnipeg Beach. Make sure you have some flip flops and are ready for the heat!

We are going to be on Global News

Well how about that, tonight at 6.pm and 10.pm Mitch Rosset will air a piece when they came by and spoke with Dave Morris, the founder of the Manitoba Pinball League.

A link will be posted to the clip when Mitch can send it to us after the broadcast.

Looks like we are getting noticed in Winnipeg!

Dave was “Lost in the Zone”

Well folks, yesterday Dave was doing some routine maintenance on his collection and though he would play a game of The Twilight Zone. Well a little while later he found himself getting into the zone, actually he was “Lost in the Zone”. He had his trusty iPhone with him and had one of his kids start broadcasting it live. Here is a link to the clip on Twitter.
