Red River Cup

Manitoba Vs. North Dakota

ONLY THOSE WHO QUALIFY can participate in this event. The qualifying event for The Red River Cup will be Saturday June 22nd. In that qualifying event the top 8 finishers will represent Manitoba at The Red River Cup. We will take note of the top 12 to cover ourselves if someone cannot make it or is sick etc.

There will be numerous different team skill based games played (names and descriptions soon). At the end whoever has the most points wins the Red River Cup. North Dakota leads the battle 1-0.

It will be a team round based competition with different formats/games each round. Round 1- Head to Head, Canada #1 IFPA ranking vs USA #1 Ranking, #2ranking vs #2Ranking and so on based on IFPA ranking 1pt awarded to winner

Round 2- Best Score, 2 member team will play another 2 member team and the best score for the 2 member team will be used to decide the winner 2pts awarded to winning team

Round 3- Random Head to Head. Competition pairing will be decide at random. Non alternating and highest score wins 1pt awarded to winner

Round 4-Alternating ball, 2 member team, each member plays one ball, then who can play the 3rd ball is decided by the other team. 2pts awarded to winning team

Round 5- One arm Bandit, 2 member team one member on the right flipper the other member on the left flipper. 2 player game on machine, play order random 2pts awarded to winning team

Round 6- Reverse IFPA Ranking #1 Canada vs #8 USA 1pt awarded to winner

Round 7- Best Score, 2 member team will play another 2 member team and the best score for the 2 member team will be used to decide the winner 2pts awarded to winning team

Round 8- Flipper Frenzy, Each team will send Four players (4th & 5th best IFPA ranking for 2 minute Frenzy and 7th & 8th Best IFPA ranking for 1 minute Frenzy) and each player will play two minutes or one minute  on the same game depending on your ranking. The opposing team will time keep for the other team. At the end of two minutes or one minute players raise hands off flipper buttons and score is tallied. Best two minute score awards 3 points and best 1 minute score will award 2 points for their team.

Round 9- Alternating ball, 2 member team, each member plays one ball, then who can play the 3rd ball is decided by the other team. 2pts awarded to winning team

Round 10 (if necessary)- One arm Bandit, 2 member team one member on the right flipper the other member on the left flipper. 2 player game on machine, play order random 2pts awarded to winning team First team to 49 points (for the 49th parallel separating the US and Canada) or higher score if both teams pass 49 in the same round wins the cup!!!
